On the Occasion of International Youth Day 12th August 2021

On the Occasion of International Youth Day 12th August 2021 MIJARC ASIA distributed groceries to the poor and needy people in the Adaikalapuram village - vikravandi parish. Pondicherry diocese, Tamilnadu. Fist our volunteers visited the whole village and collected the data then we identified the very poor and needy 38 families. Those families also affected by floods.

MIJARC ASIA Coordinator Ms. Selvi Ruffina, Rev. Fr. Arputha raj Youth director and Parish priest of Vikravandi with the help of volunteers gathered the 30 families at Parish house we followed the COVID 19 measures sanitize the area, and We checked the temperature of the beneficiaries and instruct them to use the mask and sanitizers. We take their signatures on the registration paper.

Ms. Selvi Ruffina created awareness on COVID -19 vaccination, The beneficiaries are illiterates they have some fears about vaccination and virus. Fr. Arputha raj motivated them with spiritual talk. After the messages we distributed the groceries to the 30 families.

Arul raj from the state said “Being a daily wage laborer, we were hit very badly by the sudden floods during this corona virus Pandemic. We do not have food to eat and are not able to earn anything due to lack of work. We starved nearly for two days without food. Exactly at this time, MIJARC ASIA came up and helped us with food grains at least on temporary relief. I am truly thankful to Wanakkam”.
